A first point of contact for survivors

To help support students impacted by sexual violence and connect them with resources, the Sexual Violence Support and Education Coordinator at the University of Guelph is a first point of contact for survivors.

Through a survivor-centric approach to care, the coordinator provides tailored crisis intervention, emotional and practical support, referrals and assistance in navigating services and judicial processes to help address individual needs and healing.

In addition, the coordinator helps facilitate an ongoing dialogue around sexual violence awareness by developing and delivering education and prevention training across campus to support a safer campus community.
