As autonomous vehicles become more integrated into our everyday lives – from self-driving cars to package delivery and health-care delivery – the safety and reliability of this technology will be critical. That’s why the Smart Connected Vehicles Innovation Centre at the University of Ottawa is partnering with industry to enhance end-user experience of autonomous vehicles.
As an open-access research facility, the centre brings together experts from various fields, such as social scientists, economists, engineers and computer scientists, to address industry challenges related to connectivity, physical and cybersecurity, decision-making and sustainability of vehicles and networks.
The centre also offers rapid, low-cost experimentation for connected autonomous vehicles, such as self-driving car prototypes, drones and ground bots, to increase industry access to testing facilities and bring new and improved technologies to market faster.
