To help provide tailored support to community members and curb the spread of COVID-19, researchers at McMaster University are working with three Indigenous communities across Canada on a collaborative study.

The COVID CommUNITY-First Nations study will collect, analyze and report data relating to COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness and safety in the Six Nations of the Grand River in Ontario, Lac La Ronge Indian Band in Saskatchewan and Wendake in Quebec in an effort to learn more about the factors leading to low vaccination rates in the communities.
