Providing more space for students on campus helps create healthy and safe environments as universities gradually welcome more students, faculty and staff back in-person.
This fall, Wilfrid Laurier University has transformed its Waterloo-campus Alumni Field into an outdoor study and gathering space for students by placing picnic tables and tents around the field. This initiative is part of the university’s larger effort to create more outdoor spaces to be used by students between classes or to connect with friends, while ensuring their health and safety.
By leveraging available campus grounds, students will have a safe space to ease back into campus life.
