To ensure co-operative (co-op) education students continue to have access to experiential learning while self-isolating during COVID-19, Wilfrid Laurier University has partnered with employers to support students through remote working environments.
A team of co-op advisors are working with employers and students to ensure that work placements continue to be part of the student learning experience. By working together, various employers have not only shifted to remotely hosting co-op students, but have also adapted to be more flexible when creating roles and responsibilities and using digital resources to help ensure students get the most out of their co-op experience.
