Ontario’s employers are reporting a growing need for employees with human, business and technical skills, such as creativity, problem solving and analytics, according to the Business+Higher Education Roundtable. Brock University is helping students, faculty, staff and the local community develop these in-demand skills through online events and workshops designed to explore new skills, technologies and ways of thinking.
The free events and workshops are divided into three key categories: creativity and problem solving, creativity and technology and creativity and taking breaks. Through these sessions, participants will learn the basics of coding, 3-D printing, data management, design thinking, journaling and more, helping them develop skills that employers are increasingly looking for.
Programming is delivered through the Brock LINC, the university’s hub for innovation, research and entrepreneurship.
