Discovering the "God Particle"

York University’s Wendy Taylor was a member of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) team that discovered the long-sought “God particle,” or Higgs Boson, a fundamental building block of the universe. The particle was the focus of the biggest hunt in the history of modern science by some of the top physicists in the world. Finding the particle has opened the doors to studying unknowns such as mass and dark matter, providing deeper insights into the nature of the universe.
