Helping businesses pivot through technology
Share this story

Many businesses continue to face challenges during the pandemic, particularly in transitioning to new technologies in an increasingly digitized workspace.

The University of Windsor recently launched the EPIC Nimble program to help Windsor-Essex businesses use technology to create new revenue streams or pivot to a new business model – ultimately ensuring they stay competitive in a fast-changing marketplace.

In collaboration with WEtech Alliance and the WindsorEssex Small business Centre, the program is open to any existing for-profit business in the region that is currently facing challenges due to COVID 19.

“The response to this program has been absolutely phenomenal. We received applications from 18 different industries, geographically covering every corner of Windsor-Essex. The project proposals totaled over $166,000, showing a very real need for these innovative pivots. We have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in how businesses in our community not only survive but strive.”
