Helping Create Supportive Environments for Students

As students report experiencing increased mental health challenges, ensuring faculty and staff can help support them is critical to building a supportive environment and students’ life and coping skills.

It’s why Trent University has developed a Student Support Certificate for academic and non-academic staff that offers a series of workshops aimed at helping them gain the skills needed to assist students in a variety of situations. Courses include conflict resolution, understanding student development, mental health awareness and student accessibility.
