Helping employers foster mental health in the workplace

In an effort to better understand how organizations respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, the University of Ottawa is collaborating with researchers across Canada to determine what role organizations play in health promotions and how managers can foster mental health in the workplace.

Dr. Jennifer Dimoff, Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa, is conducting research that looks at how practices, policies and communications encourage or discourage health-promoting behaviors among employees. The research aims to better understand and identify ways employers take an active role in advocating for their employees wellbeing during these uncertain times.

Dimoff is part of a research team that has received a Novel Coronavirus Rapid Research Funding Opportunity by the Canadian Institute of Health Research.
