“We are pleased to continue working with [Trent] through the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure our health-care professionals and staff have access to the important resources they need as they work around the clock to provide care and support for patients.”

Housing frontline health-care workers to keep them and their families safe

As health-care professionals work around the clock to care and support patients diagnosed with COVID-19, Trent University is providing temporary housing for those who choose to self-isolate and protect their families during the pandemic.

The Gzowski College residence is temporarily providing up to 100 rooms for health-care workers from the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. The hospital and university have a long-standing partnership, sharing resources and working together on work-integrated learning opportunities for students.

The health-care workers are occupying every second room to provide a private bathroom and support appropriate physical distancing.
