To help sport and recreation organizations remain strong in a time of disruption, Brock University’s Centre for Sport Capacity (CSC), offered help with legal and contract issues spurred from the closure of programs and services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hilary Findlay, retired Associate Professor of Sport Management at Brock, hosted a webinar for business employees and students to help make sense of legal obligations related to contracts, including membership and registration fees and risk management issues, such as health and welfare of athletes, coaches, spectators.
In addition, organizations were provided with advice on governance and operational issues, employment matters and member communications to help ensure businesses remain strong and able to continue to serve their communities.
