Leveraging digital tools for in-home care

To support health-care practitioners as they continue to care for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, a new app is connecting doctors and patients through a virtual or home visit.

Developed by York University alumnus Daniel Warner, the MediSeen software enables patients to request and schedule either a virtual or home visit by a Canadian medical professional. The app is currently available free of charge to all practitioners to use during the pandemic in Canada.

"Our platform is well-suited for online and in-home care; to help ensure the public continues to heed the call for social distancing, our goal is to keep our community healthy by allowing patients to receive the access they need in their homes.”
