Making a difference in the lives of international students
Share this story

Providing opportunities for new and current international students to get involved in their campus community can help make a real difference in their lives. Throughout his studies and after graduating, Brock University international student, Brian Chan, made it his focus to support the local community and other international students.

While a student at Brock, Chan took time to learn about opportunities to get involved both on and off campus – participating in many school events, volunteering his time in the local community and working for Brock International as a student assistant with the International Services team.

After graduating in 2022, Chan wanted to continue to provide other international students with the same support he received and now works as a full-time member of Brock’s Global Learning team, helping make a difference in the lives of international students.

“I have had a lot of support over the years as an international student, so to be able to work for Brock International to support students is great. It means a lot to be able to give back to the Brock community. Now that I am part of the Global Learning team, it feels even more rewarding because I understand how impactful international learning experiences can be.”
