Making connections with local seniors

By leading virtual music sessions in partnership with the Parkwood Seniors Community’s Virtual Village Java Music Club program, students at Wilfrid Laurier University are helping foster meaningful social connections with older adults in Waterloo Region.

Each week during a community-service learning component of their course, students take turns leading interactive virtual sessions for residents, such as musical performances and poetry readings, in an effort to create meaningful intergenerational conversations among participants.
