Finding better and more efficient ways to deliver health care in Ontario is vital to building a better future in Ontario. As co-principal investigator of Healthcare Systems Leadership, Kathryn Brohman, a professor at the Queen’s School of Business, is focused on making Ontario’s health-care system meet this challenge. Healthcare Systems Leadership is a nonprofit research team of health-care providers and academics from across Canada that hope to streamline collaboration and information exchange in Canadian health care. One project on Brohman’s radar is Synapse, a social media platform where people can upload and store medical information such as prescriptions and referrals so that it is easily available to those who need to access it. Along with her research team, Brohman is working to help Ontario’s health-care workers deliver strong, cost-efficient, well-coordinated care.
