Empathy and social insight can help us get through the pandemic’s upheavals. Working with government and industry partners, OCAD University’s online micro-certification program, Empathy + Social Insight for Human Centred Design, provides a reskilling opportunity for designers.
The program was developed in collaboration with Myant Inc., which specializes in functionalized garments for health care diagnostics and interventions. Funded by eCampusOntario, the program covers the importance of design that puts end users’ needs first for a successful end product.
The micro-certification program is one of five the university is offering to give students high-demand employment skills.
