Addressing the specific vaccination concerns of a population can help increase vaccine confidence. Students and faculty in Laurentian University’s science communication graduate program met with residents in remote communities and workplaces across northern Ontario to address top vaccine questions. The goal of the program was to increase vaccination rates and confidence, and answer questions unique to northern residents.
The initiative is also part of a larger program facilitated by Laurentian’s Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health, which conducts occupational health and safety outreach and research in northern Ontario.
