To help alleviate financial pressures for students caused by COVID-19, Lakehead University has created a Student Relief Fund.
The pool of funding provides immediate relief for domestic and international students who are facing challenges with their living and food expenses due to recent job loss or reduced earnings.
The initiative is a partnership between the university, the Student Union and the Alumni Association, and has brought in more than 300 donations from community members, raising more than $90,000 to date.
