“These accommodations will help workers get the rest they need and protect their families who may be vulnerable.”

Repurposing residences for health-care workers

In an effort to keep their families and communities safe, many health-care workers on the frontlines of COVID-19 are self-isolating. Nipissing University and the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) are supporting these workers by providing temporary accommodations.

Nipissing is repurposing its vacant residences, offering approximately 60 suites for use. Each unit is provided without cost to the hospitals, sanitized between guests and ensures physical distancing measures are integrated.
