What are the contours of religious diversity in Canada and how can we best respond to the opportunities and challenges presented by religious diversity in ways that promote a just and peaceful society? That is the question 37 academics from more than 20 universities around the world are tackling as part of the Religion and Diversity Project. Housed at the University of Ottawa, the project aims to build knowledge on issues related to religious diversity from a variety of perspectives: religion, law, communication, sociology, history, political science, education and philosophy.
The project examines religious diversity as a resource for promoting equality and enhancing public policy decision-making.
