Shedding light on living through the pandemic

To better understand students’ COVID-19 experience, an exhibition of OCAD University Industrial Design students’ work is being displayed in the windows of Toronto’s Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.

In March 2020, when universities’ physical spaces closed, many students faced a number of pandemic-related challenges, such as returning home on international flights and social isolation.

In partnership with DesignTO and CAMH, OCAD is presenting an exhibition of works inspired by these events in the form of textile designs and deep, experiential writing. The goal is to use art and design to show how we are connected while being apart.
