Stepping up to provide caregivers and parents free supports

Facing a global pandemic, as well as school and childcare closures across the province, parents and caregivers can undoubtedly be feeling overwhelmed.

Lakehead University has launched free courses that provide expert advice on parenting, learning at home and managing anxiety, as well as, free live and on-demand webinars.

Led by David Tranter, Associate Professor with the School of Social Work, the courses offer accessible support and resources during a stressful time, including helping caregivers create routines with children, foster children’s learning and development and find ways to maintain personal well-being.
