To help residents find goods locally and drive traffic to small businesses in the Waterloo region, a student at Wilfrid Laurier University developed OptLocal – an e-commerce marketplace.
According to The Record, the company supports businesses by integrating their inventory onto the OptLocal marketplace and streamlining the business’s online presence. OptLocal also offers resources for the businesses to use, such as marketing, customer and returns support.
As an entrepreneur in Laurier’s StartUp Lab, the company will continue to grow and expand to help support small businesses province-wide.
