As migration rates increase across northwestern Ontario, a partnership between Lakehead University and the Thunder Bay Multicultural Association is working to train northwestern Ontario’s future lawyers to serve the evolving legal needs of the community.
The community legal clinic, run by the partnership, helps law students develop their client communication and case development skills, and build experience in immigration and refugee law, while providing legal services to eligible immigrants, temporary residents, refugees and people without status living in northwestern Ontario.
