A new digital tool developed by a student at the University of Ottawa is streamlining Canadian Armed Forces operations while building the next-generation of high-tech talent.
Through the Canadian Armed Forces Cyber Command, a student spent five months in the summer internship program developing hands-on experience and collaborative skills. They developed a digital application (a PowerApps solution) that modernizes key functions such as arrival and departure clearances, reducing administrative burden while strengthening data integrity and system security.
By digitizing and automating these workflows, the application helps ensure military personnel can focus on mission-critical responsibilities while enhancing operational cybersecurity.
