Experiential learning helps students develop the skills they need to be workforce ready. Algoma University is helping students develop problem-solving and creative thinking skills by connecting them with high-potential start-ups through a partnership with the City of Brampton’s Altitude Accelerator program.
The program aims to help tech founders scale-up through collaborative programs and services as well as support student learning by providing students with real-life experiences that will yield innovative business solutions and help build a regional talent pipeline.
Students participating in the program are registered in Algoma’s fourth year Developing Business Models for Organizations course, which is specifically designed to create learning opportunities for students and startups through collaboration with community, government and industry partners.
