Marketing students at Nipissing are putting the skills they learned in the classroom to use and help North Bay businesses spread their message. The work is part of Innovative Approaches in Marketing, a fourth-year course with a core project asking students to create a viral buzz marketing campaign. Students have created campaigns for the North Bay Symphony Orchestra’s student discounts and North Star Diner’s organic and vegan menu. They have also helped raise awareness for homeless pets at the North Bay Humane Society.
